Preparing to take the next step

LHC is planning another trip to Kenya in June of 2010. The trip will include a building project. Agape Fellowship Church in Nairobi is trying to reach the people of Northern Kenya with the same message of hope and love that LHC is bringing to th elocal community through MEGA. As part of this outreach AFC would like to build a school for girls in Northern Kenya. The school would allow girls, who are typically kept out of school because of the separation of boys and girls culturally, to attend primary school. The opportunity to partner with AFC in being involved in what God is doing to reach the people of Northern Kenya is amazing, exciting and challenging all at the same time. This is another opportunity for all of us to be involved in the great commission, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."

MEGA, is Living Hope Churches local mission. Every Sunday morning at LHC we present MEGA. It is a high powered program for kids and their families. It is intended as an out reach into the local community. Designed to be non threatening to people hurt by church in the past or those who are coming for the first time. Really MEGA is simply a portal for people to through to begin a journey into the LHC family. The next step for many families is then Megaruselum on Wednesday nights, a little deeper, but yet set up with missions in mind first.

Everyone needs to believe that God Loves them, God made them, and that He has a plan for their life. That is the simple message of the MEGA program. if we can impart that we have been missionaries and have done s God has asked.

A new program associated with MEGA is the MEGA Birthdays. Families now have a fun, safe and affordable place for birthday parties for their kids. more info will be posted on this soon.
